Fnatic, Partnered with Japan’s Beloved Brand Hello Kitty
One of the world’s leading esports clubs, Fnatic, collaborated with Hello Kitty clothing collection. Fnatic, which has long been working to make an effective entry into the Far Eastern Market, found the remedy in Hello Kitty. The collection has begun to be put up for sale. Many remaining pieces of the collection will also be available before the end of 2019.
Sam Matthew, Chief Executive of Fnatic, which is headquartered in London, said on this partnership: “Hello Kitty is a globally recognized icon. We are excited to work with Sanrio to introduce ourselves to its fans around the world as we continue to research, grow and rise up.”
Hello Kitty, produced by Japanese company Sanrio, is currently one of the most recognizable comic characters in the world. The brand, which made its debut with products such as textiles and clothing, developed over time and became a bigger brand and quite popular.
With this agreement, Hello Kitty will produce Fnatic themed products like joggers, hats, jackets, jerseys, t-shirts, mousepads, stickers and keyboards.
Craig Takiguchi, Sanrio COO and head of Business Development, said: “as a leading lifestyle brand and one of the pioneers of the esports world, Fnatic is the perfect partner for our flagship character as we seek to expand our consumer touchpoints on the playground. This fun, yet unexpected collection combines Hello Kitty’s iconic image with game designs for Fnatic’s perfect lifestyle transition. We want to launch this program with Fnatic and introduce Hello Kitty to a new audience.”
In this way Fnatic made it’s entrance to the Japan market. The company has not only struck deals with the much-loved Hello Kitty; also partnered with Chillblast, Newzoo, Strafe, OnePlus, AMD, LeTou and Rivalry.
