Tencent Announced 2020 Esports Plans for PUBG Mobile

Tencent Games has announced esports plans for PUBG Mobile for 2020. With the new planning, things have changed on the way to the World Championship. It was also announced that a total of $ 5 million in prize pool would be distributed at the tournaments through 2020.

PUBG Mobile’s greatest tournament of 2019 ended with PUBG Mobile Club Open Fall Split Global Finals. At this event, the company shared new system and other plans they will bring during 2020 with players. The new system will allow amateur, semi-professional and professional players to participate in esports with new year.

In the new planning, which they call the pyramid system, there is a move from the bottom to the top. The bottom of the pyramid will be the Campus Championship for amateur players. The top level will be the PMCO and Pro League, where professional and semi-professional players will compete. The Campus Championship and the PMCO – Pro League will be held at the country level.

Teams from the PMCO-Pro League country level will participate in the next stage, the Regional Pro League. Then player will be moved to the World League and World Championship leagues.

Previously, Pro League declared for Southeast Asia (SEA). The SEA Pro League will feature Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand, and then two more Pro League titles were announced afterwards. These leagues were Americas Pro League and South Asia Pro League.

Like PUBG Mobile Club Open, the World League will split into two in the year; May and October.
